When Cogne were contracted to
supply stainless steel components
that required completion in a time of
less than 4 hours - compared to the
more usual 60 hours, they turned to
Prosaw to find a solution to a
problem that even the most recently
developed high speed production bandsaw was unable to fulfill.
Wyman-Gordon required a twin column automatic bandsaw to cut titanium and nickel based alloys, including Waspalloy. They wanted to use carbide blades exclusively in order to optimize the speed of cut and hence cost per cut. Prosaw offered their Mega H600A heavy duty twin column automatic bandsaw to satisfy these requirements.
