Phil joined Prosaw straight from graduation with a BSc (Hons) in Combined Engineering Studies.
Hands on from Day one…
Phil began in a hands‑on technical role, checking machines, carrying out test cuts, and preparing equipment for demonstrations. Working alongside Sales Engineers, he supported demonstrations at Kettering and at customer sites using the 7.5‑tonne demo lorry. Within months, his responsibilities expanded to include basic service callouts, providing early customer‑facing experience and a practical understanding of the business from the ground up.

Rising Through the Ranks…
Around six months after joining Prosaw, Phil moved into the main Sales Office, working alongside the Sales Office Manager and supporting the processing of machine orders and day‑to‑day coordination. Working closely with the Service Engineers, who at that time reported into the Sales Office, Phil developed the spares' function and expanded the level of chargeable service work. This work transformed after‑sales from a support function into a profitable and strategic part of the business. In recognition of this impact, Phil was appointed Spares and Service Manager.

Leadership & Ownership – From Service to MD…
