Last week, Prosaw celebrated the retirement of two absolute legends: Bob Savage (Service Manager) and Jeff Morris (Area Sales Manager).
Between them, they have a combined 48 years of dedicated service. With their retirement dates falling so close together, a cunning plan was hatched to host a surprise presentation evening in honour of them both.
With the help of their wives, Bob and Jeff were escorted to the venue—Kettering Town Football Club—where all their colleagues were waiting to welcome them.
Following a meal and drinks, amusing stories and reflections on their working lives were shared, before the evening concluded with the presentation of some truly lovely gifts.
Bob Savage joined Prosaw in 1987, initially working in the Manufacturing Department before moving into the Service Team four years later. From 2011, Bob began spending more of his time in the office supporting the Service Manager, before ultimately taking over responsibility for running the Service Team. In a farewell email to his colleagues, Bob reflected on how service work can often be challenging. However, his attitude was always clear: “Do your very best every day. Even if you are not successful, if you have given your very best, there is not much more you can do.”

Jeff Morris started with Prosaw in 2011 as Area Sales Manager for the South East. Bringing with him many years of experience in industrial machine sales, Jeff quickly settled into the role. His personality and enthusiasm helped make the South East a highly successful area throughout his time with the company.
During the presentation, one particular machine was highlighted as Jeff’s speciality, earning him the nickname “Roller-Feed Jeff.” To mark this, Karmetal kindly sent a scale model of the machine, which was presented to Jeff on the night.
